ABOUT ME

I began my journey in contemporary dance by studying at the ZHDK in 2009, where I earned a DAS in Zeitgenössischer Tanz. It was during this time that I was introduced to GAGA, a dance technique that captivated me, leading me to participate in an intensive workshop in Tel Aviv. Following this, I furthered my education at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, graduating with a BA in contemporary dance in 2013.

Since then, my artistic path has been diverse and dynamic. I have had the privilege of working under the direction of various choreographers and artists in both the UK and Switzerland. This rich experience has taken me to a range of performance spaces, from traditional theaters to immersive outdoor settings and art galleries. I’ve also had the opportunity to tour nationally with companies such as Earthfall in « Chelsea Hotel » and « Stories From a Crowded Room, » as well as with BalletLORENT in « Snow White. »

Beyond my individual artistic pursuits, I am deeply committed to supporting and promoting other performing artists. As part of this commitment, I have co-curated several festivals with the Swallowsfeet Collective, bringing contemporary performances and visual artists to Brighton. I’ve also collaborated with Traceworks Dance on the production « Jack Defrost, » where I spearheaded a community tour of the show, bringing performances directly to care homes, community centers, and people’s doorsteps.

My academic journey has further enriched my understanding of the intersection between art and community. I completed a Masters degree in Applied Anthropology and Community Development at Goldsmiths University in 2019. I established myself as a community development officer at the Telegraph Hill Centre for 4years; leading on the community outreach and engagement for the Centre.

My practice today bridges the realms of dance and community work, with a shared goal of facilitating opportunities for exploration, development, and creativity to thrive. I am actively engaged in community outreach and engagement initiatives, striving to create inclusive spaces where creativity can flourish.
